A Little About Michigan Adaptive Sports

Our group began in the early 1970s by hosting an annual learn-to-ski clinic and race, focusing on three-track skiing. The group became a chapter of Disabled Sports USA in 1981.  In 1995, we merged with another adaptive ski group that specialized in mono- and bi-skiing as well as water-skiing. Over the last few years, we have added kayaking and handcycling to our sports activities, we also offer a weekend camping event which includes all of our summer sports.  This event also features fishing and sailing.

Michigan Adaptive Sports (MAS) is a chapter of Disabled Sports USA, a non-profit, tax-exempt educational organization established for the purpose of providing sports, recreation and physical fitness opportunities for persons with disabilities.
